August Newsletter
Dear Parents,
It has been a great first week in KinderBridge! I am so blessed to be your child’s teacher. This newsletter is to let you know what is going on in our classroom for the next month.
Things we will learn in the month of August:
- Bible Verse: All things were made by Him. John 1:3
- Sight Words: is, you, and on
- August 2-6- My School, Color Concepts
- August 9-13: I am SPECIAL and shape concepts
- August 16-20: Creation, Letter Ii, Number Concepts 1-5
- August 23-27: Adam and Eve, Letter Uu, Number 1
- August 30-9/3: Noah, Letter Ee, Number 2
We will begin learning to write our names, numbers, and letters this month. Each week we will have a letter and number that we will focus on. The children should begin writing their first name with a capital letter and the rest of their name should be in lower case letters. I will start sending home “homework” on August 9th.
When your child brings back their homework completed, they will receive a sticker for their sticker chart.
Reminders:
- Wednesdays are spirit days at CCS. Please dress your child in a red CCS shirt, or a red shirt/dress. There are CCS shirts available for sale.
- Flip flops are not to be worn at CCS. Closed toed shoes are preferred. Sandals may still be worn, but they must have a back strap to keep the sandals on their feet.
- Please remember to bring an extra change of clothes for your child if you haven’t already.
- Please fill out all papers that were in your parent packet and return next week.
- If you have not brought in pictures of what your family did over the summer, please bring them in by August 13th. I would like for each child to have pictures for their special star of the week. Please make sure you have sent in at least 4 pictures.
- Our CCS Auction is August 27nd. Please plan on attending.
- Don’t forget to check the school website-www.chandlerchristianschool.org. I have a class page where I will post my monthly newsletter and announcements on.

Star of the Week will begin very soon! This will be a time for me and the other children to get to know your wonderful child. J
Here is a list of students whose “week” is coming up in August. Remember CC (our mascot) gets to come home with your child for “their week”.
