This Quarter we will learning about Caldecott and Newberry Honor Medal books. We will also be learning about what makes a good book a good book. Does it have a strong character? Does the plot make sense?

At the end of this quarter I will be sending home some ideas of books your child may want to read over Summer Break. I hope the titles are helpful in finding some new books to read that are fun and exciting.

While this quarter is going by fast, I know some of you are cleaning out your book shelves. If you have any gently used books that you are wanting to donate somewhere, I would gladly take them from you.
